Roald Dahl Funny Prize

Annual

Founded by Michael Rosen in 2008 as part of his work as Children's Laureate 2007-09, The Roald Dahl Funny Prize is administered in conjunction with Booktrust, and aims to promote laughter and humour when reading; draw attention to funny books as readable and enjoyable books; and reward and encourage authors and illustrators who write and illustrate funny books.

The award is split into two different categories: The Funniest Book for Children Aged Six and Under and The Funniest Book for Children Aged Seven to Fourteen.

Shortlists are announced in September, and the winners are announced in November.
