2005 BookTrust Early Years Award Shortlists 4th August 2005

Supported by Bookstart and the Unwin Foundation, The Booktrust Early Years Awards aim to celebrate, publicise and reward the books being published today for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The Awards aim to promote and make these books accessible to as wide an audience as possible. The award covers three categories: The best book for babies under one year old, the best book for pre-school children, up to five years of age and the award for the best new illustrator.

The judges include Children's Book Consultant Wendy Cooling, illustrator Nick Sharratt and HRH The Countess of Wessex.
